Original East German Army Officer's mess tea-cups, intended for use by the highest echelon's of the East German military!
These cups are particularly unique in that they were manufactured near the Second World War famous Colditz Castle. In Colditz, there was a fairly large porcelain manufacturer operating under the industrial "Volkseigener Betrieb" scheme between 1958, until the fall of the Berlin Wall. We can confirm they come from this period due to the markings on every one of these cups, making them an interesting historical piece all things considered.
These porcelain tea cups will hold approximately 150mL of liquid, and feature a simple black pattern on the outside, and DDR/Colditz manufacture markings on the bottom.
Note: This item is not considered military surplus as per our return policy as it was never issued, however it is still an authentic piece of military equipment. We will make every effort to ensure that these cups are packed securely in bubble-wrap before shipment, but please take extra precautions when opening these tea cups as they are glass, and fragile.
